Yes, connect breathers via Y piece to the valve on the manifold.

Cheers for the help

Mini and metro centre adviced me to run it open and down the side of the radiator to the floor, well I guess that is easy. They say they do it to all their cars with the same issue, says it runs better too.

******* ocks!
I've commented on this too many times on here. If you do do this set up don't EVER go onto a track.

Don't worry I don't plan too.... all the comments on here are useful but I just don't know which one to go for, I have spent too much money on these carbs and my car. I want to do something which is easy.

So maybe running it down the side with a filter on? I really am confused as to what to do for the best :/

You need this but looks like out of stock..
http://www.minispare...id=35134&title=

Buy two of these:
http://www.minispare...id=34394&title=
and fit them between manifold and heatshield
run a section of pipe from them to a Y piece like this:
http://www.minispare...id=33168&title=
and connect the breather to the Y piece, jo done.

Do not run the breather to filters, if you dont want them connected to the carbs (IE:the later twins has a connection to carb and not the manifolds, giving balance issues so some decide to not run breathers to the carbs) then run them to a catch tank..

The little pipes don't look big enough for the y piece connector?

There should be a size of rubber hose that fits nicely over the spacer outlet and inside the Y piece, rubber grade has to be for unleaded fuel.
And keep an eye for blockage as the size will be smaller as the original breather pipe, as long as you have an healty engine you wont have any issues.

Im not sure but dont breather pipes have different sized ends. Im very interested in this topic as im curently looking at some twin carbs that dont have the breather. Hope you find a soloution.

My engine is healthy yes, I have so many options running round my head.

Running it down the side open,
Running it down the side with a filter on,
Getting those spacers and Y piece.
Drilling the manifold.

Confused is the word!

Personally I would not vent the crankcase direct to atmosphere, with or without a filter. It's quite possible you will smell it inside the car. The way to do it properly with those old carbs is to fit a PCV valve to the manifold and make sure you have an oil filler cap which can breathe.

Hmm ok another option, means I will need to get a breather oil cap and the valve. But another option. Thanks.
