Hi everyone, I'm a newbie on here.

I have just brought a med 1293 engine with following spec.

Block
omega pistons, 286 cam, ultra lightweight steel flywheel & back plate, centre main strap, balanced bottom end.

Head
I think the head is a stage 3 but not sure! It has med 1418 stamped on it. The valves are 36 30 the valve guide bosses have been removed and it is also running 1.5 roller rockers.

The gearbox has a 3.1 final drive

Question is. Do I run the 286 cam that it came with as I also have a sw5-07 and swiftune say that there cam will produce more bhp below 5500 rpm than the 286?

My engine was rolling roaded at 89bhp at the wheels before it was taken out of my mates mini but it did have a webber carb on it then!
