Hi, Sorry I know there are loads of clutch related topics already but cant find any quite like this.
When I change down a gear, just as the clutch engages it makes a rumbling noise but almost like a syncro noise, hard to describe. It is fine when driving and idling with clutch in and out, its just changing down gears in all gears as the clutch engages.
The other thing is sometimes when idling there is a whistling noise coming from around the timing pulley. Sounds a bit like the fan belt but dont think it is. Is this related in any way? Thanks
Sorry, should have said its a 1990 Cooper Carb so it has a verto type clutch?
Another Clutch problem....
