Hi
I'm offering an engine rebuild service so you can leave you're engine with me for a set period of time and I will rebuild it to your needs or sell you a short engine with what ever spec you like and the same goes for half engines and full engines.
Also I'll fit my engines for an extra charge and soon I will be offering a running in service on my engines.
At the moment I have a 1098 ready to build as a short engine and soon a complete 998 so if either interest you let me know and I'll pm you a quote.
Just to give you an idea of price the 1098 short engine rebuilt but with a standard spec will cost £260 +vat.

AJS A-series is based in Worcester for those whom wish to drop of engines.
You can also contact me via email @ [email protected]

I have the same question as Lyford01. Do you do part-ex? I have a running 998 also and would like to upgrade to a 1310/1380. Price estimate on this if you do do part-ex. Cheers

It might help you if you say what you mean by refurbished.

On ebay refurbished means painted red, what parts are new and what parts are reused?

Refurbished, reconditioned and re-manufactured all mean different things to different people, so if you are unsure what you're getting, ask for specifics, either published in the public domain or in writing on a quote.

Exactly, I've got your refurbished gearboxes under both my engines and they are both excellent.

To me a refurbished unit is one that has been rebuilt using mainly used parts that have been checked to factory specifications. For this work the builders needs to really know what they are looking at.

Thanks
My standard engine rebuild includes a full strip down, clean and flush of all oil ways and water ways, new bearings all round, new gaskets, regound crank, new rings ,new oil seal all round, new high capacity oil and water pumps as standard, the heads are skimmed and refaced the block is honed and skimed
Also I do the obvious paint and external work
Also a new clutch is fitted and pressure plate
I have my gearboxes checked by a reputable firm and any work that is required is done.

Thanks for you're advise I think this rather hastily written post covers everything
