Hi, had my 99' cooper sportspack for about 2 months now, and im starting to get some stuff done to it! Im thinking the dampers are still the origionals but im looking to get some slightly better ones to help be go round bouncy corners, instead of throw me off the road! hahah
Id love to hear people's views on a set of Hi-Lo's too!
any opinions would be great!

You can beat a lowered mini, lowering it reduces suspension travel and thus road holding on a bumpy surface, exactly what the OP was seeking to improve.

I put this kit on my 2001 and its handles like another (much better) car.

All the manually adjustable shocks and all well and good but unless you are a specialist suspension guy how to you know what to adjust them to?
And if you lower only do it a little.

I have the minispares version of what ruckus has, and I really like it. It seems to work very well on my daily, standard ride height mini without costing a fortune. I added some other suspension bits to set the geometry with the money I saved on not getting adjustable shocks.

I've just fitted kyb gas adjust but not driven it yet. Lol if you have a sportspack you should have Koni dampers I think which work quite well. Kyb are the next level up without going hardcore like Spax etc
I haven't got a sportspack so I had the really really cheap dampers. When I took them off you could compress them and they would stay compressed.....think they were knackered. Hopefully I will notice a big difference with my new one
