I have found a very useful item for the older mini owner here is the link:
http://www.amazon.co...39832914&sr=8-2
Its a great item to sit on while working in the engine bay, and turned upside down can be knelt or sat on for lower repairs on the mini, and the beauty is that it folds and is stored in the boot.
Anyone else got any useful mini unrelated items to share.

I use an old camping foam bed mat for under the car.
Doesn't absorb water and is cheap enough to replace when it gets tatty
Only about 8mm thick and rolls up easily for storage in the garage.
I also have stack of these ('because I sell 'em)
Pulp dishes. Great for putting bits in when taking stuff apart. Simply dispose of them when done. (They last quite a while as well, despite being made from old newspaper

Good idea with the camping foam, will have to fish mine out the attic, I use a bit of old carpet but any oil spill on it usually means throwing it away, where as the foam would wipe down.
