Painted the top half of my car on Friday. Just got around to finishing putting it back together. Done it properly too, including door shuts, windows out etc.

Next weekend, new arches are to be done!

I just wish my Clubman still looked as good as it did in those first pics.

I have a 72 Clubman that was built in the UK by Nigel Orton in Nottingham. It has a stage 1 kitted 998. It was imported into California in mid-April 2012. The engine was rebuilt in the USA soon after it arrived from the UK by Justin Nunes at www.jandgautomotive.com bored .040" over due to burned pistons and is a strong runner. Clubmans are rare in North America but our club, Mini Owners of America/San Francisco has at least three, two saloons and an estate. There is also an Aussie Leyland tinny in our area.

 

Here's a couple pics of mine which has been in a couple small articles in both Mini Magazine and Mini World in the UK. It is also featured on the cover of the recent Moss Motors Catalog for classic Mini parts in the US and is also featured in the 2014 Mini Mania Calendar (April) along with a 74 Clubby belonging to Shawn & Laura Thornton of San Francisco, CA.
