I clean my carbs in a ultrasonic cleaner aswell always had great results.

I emailed a local company to see if they could sandblast my carb and they reckon that it's the last thing I want to do to a carb.

use bead, if they didn't come back to you with a sensible reply then i'd steer clear of them anyway.
