today trying to install a stereo system into my car every time the ignition is turned on the fuse in the back of the head unit blows, apparently there is a surge with the electrics.

any help would be appreciated

Poor earth. I would just wire in a completely new one, should sort it out straight away. Make sure that the fuse is around 10A.

i finally sorted it, in the end my friend kept wiring it up wrong using only a yellow cable but ended up working fine with red and yellow together :)
