What you could do if you have a smartphone (hell who doesn't these days?) is download a GPS tracking app like MyTracks on Android. Fitness apps have tracking as well I believe like the appropriately named Sports Tracker. Start it. Go for a walk where you've never been before. Countryside would be good. Walk for about 7 miles then walk back. 'tis what I used to do when I was bored - minus the tracking software. I just looked at the route I took when I got home.

Play gran turismo until you have the mini then tune it as much as you can.
Read the haynes manual
Do my university work for me (it is mini related)?
Start CAD modelling a mini body shell. If you make an accurate model there will be people willing to pay you good money for it. If you don't know how to use 3d CAD software learn how to use it. That will use up loads of your time (also looks good on a CV).

Also I have just seen the bit about open wounds. Might prohibit the running and walking somewhat, especially as you will need to shower. I stand by reading and photography, and getting outside though.

Ha, I just had 2 months of this, had my right hand in a splint and I'm right handed.
Prepare for boredom. Lots of it. Also (illegally) obtain some series you've wanted to watch. I'm watching every single south park, then every futurama.
sod cartoons get on life on mars then ashes to ashes.
bestest series' ever!
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COCO!
Its coffee -.-
best tv series ever

Ooh! Ooh! If you like car films and don't mind watching something a bit different, there's this brilliant French film called Taxi. It's French audio with English subtitles, but later on they released an English dubbed version - although I'm yet to watch that one.
I've never been able to find a trailer for the film on YouTube with subtitles or audio in English, so this will have to do.
The blurb:
Quoted from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia....Taxi_(1998_film)
"Taxi is a 1998 French film starring Samy Naceri, written by Luc Besson, and directed by Gérard Pirès. It has 3 sequels: Taxi 2 in 2000, Taxi 3 in 2003 and Taxi 4 in 2007.
The film takes place in Marseille, France, and involves an aspiring racecar driver named Daniel (Naceri), who initially works as a pizza delivery boy, but changes jobs to become a taxi driver. With a supercharged engine he eludes the police while quickly transporting his fares to their destinations. Finally caught by the police for a huge speed infraction, he is forced to help Emilien (Frédéric Diefenthal), a down-on-his-luck police inspector, on the trail of German bank robbers. Trying to juggle a budding relationship with his beautiful girlfriend Lilly (Marion Cotillard) and a need for high-speed chases, Daniel helps Emilien so that he does not lose his license and quite possibly his job.
An American remake loosely based on the French version was released in 2004 starring Jimmy Fallon, Queen Latifah and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen. The 2004 Bollywood film Dhoom also draws heavily on the plot of Taxi.
Luc Besson wrote the script in 30 days.
In terms of box office admissions, the "Taxi" series is one of the most successful French franchises ever, grossing a re
ported total of $200 million worldwide and 23 million admissions in France"
They went on to make another three films in the franchise. 1 was great. 2 was pretty good. 3 was okay. I'm yet to watch 4.
Because the film was made on a relatively low budget, there are almost zero special effects, so you can pretty much guarantee what you're watching is real. So to speak.
I first came across the film when I was bored one night many years ago. Flicking through the channels at about 1am I saw this film called Taxi. I think it was only about 10-15 mins in. I'd never seen a foreign film before but boy, this really caught my attention. A real gem. 10/10 for this movie from me. Cannot recommend it enough for any car buff.
