interchangeable gears

having scoured the FAQ section i would like some advice on whether A+ and A rod change gears are interchangeable?

if not, which are the parts inhibiting this...

Basically, no, the cut of the gears if different, so you can't mix the gearsets.

but what you can do is have a A+ or A set of drop gears with an A or A+ set of gears and an A or A+ crownwheel and pinion..

nice, thanks,

so to fit a set of PRE A PLUS Rod change straight cut gears into my 1293 A PLUS Rod change lump i will not need to source a new gearbox cover etc...
