I would use it too. Bearings often have grooves in them to help retain oil...... Don't worry about it!


But that's a 'dry' oil-free bearing and needs all the surface area it can have.

Well - there is some limited oil comes through from the main bearing - the grooves will help to distribute it. My Dept used to make these Deva bushes when I worked at Glacier.....

Factory finished size for primary gear bushes is 0.003 to 0.004" clearance. In my experience, with a lighter flywheel this should be increased to 0.005".
