Hi there I'm doing a full rebuild of my mini at the stage of putting driveshafts and hubs back on, but looking at my driveshafts I noticed one was missing the ball bearings and the kind of outer cage if that makes sense, now I've found the ball bearings but can't find the outer cage part, can you buy these separately or can u buy a new joint but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, incase I'm not very clear it's the end that slots into the diff, oh and it's a 1988 city 998cc thanks

If I understand you correctly, you left the joint together, but without the ball that got lost? If so, there is no other 'outer cage'.
There's a centre part, then the 'cage' that the balls sit it, and then that slides into the 'pot' which slides over the Diff output shafts :)

Yer I got the inner bit that the balls would sit in but haven't got the bit that hold them there as in the outer cage

Ahh I see. You shouldn't really disassemble them anyway, so even if you did have it, you *should* replace.
