I would replace the A panel as a complete panel. That particular area will have rusted from behind the flange which invariably means there will be rust on the flitch flange that the A panels wraps around.

Which stiffener are you on about as there are several on a mini?? Have you got a link for it.

Unless the A post is rusted then you wont need it. You can do some localised repairs like i did on Project Erm.

On the last picture it is rusted on both sides.
If someone could tell me what I need to buy that would be brilliant.

Ok starting at the front. You will need two flitch repair panels. The ends of the scuttle look crusty as well so they will need to be done as well. Underneath the ends will be two closeout panels one each side so that will need to be replaced as well. So both A panels will need to come off.

The inside next, you have issues with both sides with the inner sills. so they will need work. If there is any bitumen sound proofing on the floor that needs to be stripped off to see the extent of the damage.

The rear quarters look like some small localized repairs need doing so nothing too bad there.

The rear end looks like a new rear valance is required, have a look in the corners on the inside to see if the valance closeouts are crusty as well.

You may need this panel from M machine for the inner sill and floor pan, possibly on both sides

thanks for that. for the rear end i only think that i need the valance the holes that you can see is all of it. i thought that it was going to be a lot more than that to get the parts needed. i hopefully should get them in the next week or so, so i will put pictures up then but other than that i will still keep posting.

I am having problems with my carb. I have to keep my mini running on choke because it doesn't idle properly, when it does it starts to pulse so it will be nearly cutting out and then it would rev up and then cut out. I replaced my fuel pump because mine broke and I didn't tighten up the mounts straight away, my friend drove it round the yard and the engine was rocking and I think that the pin or needle underneath he car made a mark on the frame where it has hit it. Could this be the problem ? When I rev up the engine it also takes longer to go back down aswell.

Any help would be much appreciated.
