Thats one of the reasons why I would love to go, Loads of parts! I need a few things that dont cost that much to get mine looking nice both inside and out. Outside is looking good atm but inside needs things like, original gear Knob (hard to find in good condition) 2 new sunvisors, head liner.

Ah you keeping yours original as possible then? :D

Mate, reverse rims are a clear winner! Just grab a set and stick them on, you won't regret it I promise =]

You mean reverse rims as in 4.5J cooper 's'?

Just getting hold of them! >_<

Reverse rims are not Cooper S wheels, they were a dealer option for the non S models, S steel wheels only come in 2 sizes, 3.5J inset, and 4.5J option flush faced, both of which were made to fit the cars without arches being needed, you can buy a repro S steel wheel now, silver for the MK 2 look white for MK 1

http://www.minispare...|Back to search

Yeah I was going to go for a repro second hand set if I could as I think a set of real 's' wheels would be slightly out of my price range... >_<

There was a guy selling a set of genuine reverse rims at Oulton last Sunday with brand nea yoko's for 275 quid. He probably could have been knocked down.

As said before a reverse rim is not the same as an S rim, if you fit a reverse rim to S running gear the car will need wheel arches, they are designed to fit cars with drum brakes or 7 inch discs as they have a far greater offset than an S rim, if you have drums (which your car would have had originally) they will be perfect, but if you have 7.5 discs (or you want to fit them) then they will be no good without arches, I will try to get a picture of this later in the week :-)

But the 's' rim will stay within the wing on the 's' set up?

That is a sexy mini. But I stick by what I said before. I love the Minilites look and with a red car gold wheels look awesome.

But out of Revos and S rims, S rims every time.
