This got me thinking of a brand new project abd I started to think of some plans which are currently:
Keep my Mini I have now and keep how it is.
Get the Impreza when I have enough money for it and still have money for the project.
This is my new idea, I'm thinking of getting an old beaten up Mini for something like £50+. Gutt it to a shell, and change the engine from what ever it is to a 9.4 V8 Chevy which I found on the internet going for £8,770.
Of course this is far from the present but I hope this can be achived, I know it can be done because that guy on here has done it but with a smaller V8.
So what do you think, is it possible, has it been done before etc?
Cheers for your feedback

This is my current project, i could've used a much bigger engine!
Spag has jammed V8's into the front and back of Mini's, his site might be useful: www.spagweb.com/v8mini/
Also check out the www.16vminiclub.com for inspiration, and to see how hard it is to get a relatively tiny four banger in the front of a Mini.
Finally the founder of the 16v Mini Club's FWD V6 Mini (using the same engine as me!): www.v6mini.com/

It could be done, however, I would say it would be best as a drag mini. Certainly won't perform well on a track, and I imagine its a very heavey engine! I don't believe you get that much power considering the size (in cc's) of those things either!
