Max and Paddy, your bird feeder is awesome! My old exhaust is under my bed, spare mini door under the spare room bed, spare mini seats in the only cupboard, and so it goes on!
But yeah, sounds like the tip is the best place for yours if it is v. rusty...

fill the exhaust up with concrete, lump it in with a load more scrap metal, run away from scrap man quickly before he realises that the exhaust weighs about 5 times more than it should
