grab the top of your engine and try to rock it. Chances are there's an engine steady bush gone.

will have a look at the engine rubbers?...think discs on them? the juddering /knock seems to be only on drivers side and is when breaking down{gets pretty severe}...
will keep you posted when i manage to get a look....{weather permitting}...

G'day guy's, the shudder your experiencing could be related to several areas. Firstly the disc's or drums could need machining as they maybe warped or out of round . Secondly check the tie rod ends on the steering rack as a badly worn tie rod end can give a vibration under braking . In my experience if the engine stabilizer bush's are worn you tend to get more of a thump going on and off the throttle . Hope this has been of some help to you and please let us know what you find. Regards Ianis there a vibration through the pedals? the steering rack?

Check the bushes on the tie rods or the actual tie rods themselves. The standard ones are very skinny, and sometimes people try and use them as a jacking point They bend rather easily.
