Hi all, as the title says really... I was wondering if anybody know's of any 13" steels that fit a mini :D Just got inspiration off of another mini with 13 x 7 banded steels, and will soon be getting some as soon as i can find the 13" steels! <_< So if anybody has any info on this topic, it will be much appreciated! :D

Who does the banding nowadays, roughly how much does it cost, and is it still legal? My opinion is that it is ok, if done correctly, but I have vague memory of reading somewhere that it had been outlawed. Maybe that was just for IVA, although I have a feeling that the MOT is not tolerant of welded subframes and suspension components, and it might follow that wheels were not allowed either. (Note that all subframes, some suspension components such as Mini tie rods, and the vast majority of steel wheels are manufactured by welding...)

Considering the safety aspects, I would prefer a banded steel wheel, properly welded, than an alloy of unknown history.

I think they are legal yes, and they do pass an MOT  That's exactly how i want my bands Alex, chrome dished but with a gloss black middle! And i have already asked the guy who own's it he said "He doesn't know where they are from because he got the car how it is in PX for something else..." >_< I think i'm just going to have to keep researching to find the 13"'s haha :D

Also i'd like to add to the topic that... I have heard that some 4x100 wheels will fit the mini, if the offset and center fitments are roughly the same, but are a tight fit onto the stud's because of that 1mm less gap, but they do fit on. My only concern with this is, in the long run will the wheels stud's perish/wear down a lot? I'm assuming they would...

What's the verdict people would these match up or not?? :techsupport: The center bore on a mini is apparently less than 60mm, these band's are 56mm....? (These are 13 x 7J with 4x100 PCD )
