Hi my name is pally,I have just got myself an L reg mini Cooper,I believe it's a mk 6 but I am not sure if this,I owned one before but due to lack off knowledge about the mini I got rid of it, but I've been given a second chance to own another thanks to a friend of mine.I hope to have as much fun with the mini as I did before if not more.I will need a lot of advice as I'm looking to restore my mini any help would be appreciated.

Welcome. I am sure you will have great fun with your Mini Cooper. Great car. Minis are not usually called by their mark after mk 3. Yours will be a mk 6 but properly called a Cooper SPi (single point injection) or 1.3i.
