How To Change Around The Switch

The part star rounding the switches on my mini sprite 1993 , how do I change it, I've looked around and I can't see anything obvious, I have a new metal one to go on

  • Drop heater to provide access
  • Disconnect choke from carb
  • Disconnect heater cable from control valve
  • Pull switches out of panel
  • Disconnect wiring from switches - label for replacement
  • Undo retaining nut for choke cable - withdraw cable
  • Undo retaining nut on heater control - withdraw cable
  • Undo retaing nuts on switch surround - remove panel from dash
NB Note which way round the mounting brackets are fitted.

Re-assembly is a reverse of above.

... Sounds a big job for a little change haha, any one want to do it for all the tea they can drink ? ;)

It dosnt sound big, just time consuming, I am sure you can manage it :)
