Is there anything that puts a smile on your face (while driving your Classic Mini) than another Classic Mini coming the other way, and a wave, a lamp flash or a toot of the horn?

If only all driving could be that happy all the time. :D

Toot toot!!

What always amazes me is how unhappy other drivers look, compared to the innane grin that I have while driving mine.
Even people in 'flash' cars, mostly look miserable.

I always think of Classic Mini's as happy cars. I'm grinning when I drive them, and I'm grinning when I see one. :)

If you're not happy in your Classic Mini, go buy an Austin Allegro - then you'll have something to be miserable about... ;D

I think it's because most modern cars even the flash ones are so dull to drive. You don't so much have to drive them, as just sit there and operate them, and in turn that's makes driving dull, but something most people have to do daily.

You only have to look at any classic car owner, and it doesn't have to be in pristine condition, but if you look at their faces while driving they look happy to be driving it.

:-)

ps. My pet hate is other mini drivers that don't flash and wave, miserable buggers.

I think the most fun thing about driving a Mini is that it feels like you're part of the car.

I don't know if you do this, but if there's another (Classic) Mini in a car park and I can, I'll park next to it. :D

Just reading the first post made me grin in agreement as owning a classic and driving it on the road is like being in an
exclusive club called 'happy place' (reminds me of that film err happy gilmore ha ha).
Happy all the time in a mini (apart from the boot). :D

Yep and its even better when you get back to yours and another has parked next to you!

Once had a new mini (BINI) do that to me in a near empty car park, I only went back to grab something from the car and duly moved it! and washed the car when I got back home even though it was only a tiny ickle little bit dirty :whistling:
