Back by popular demand, the Cotswold Mini Classic Tour will be on again in 2013 on Sunday 28 July. Despite the bad weather all summer in 2012 demand exceeded the 2011 numbers as people ventured out for a tour of the scenic Cotswolds. Again we were (mostly) lucky with the weather, see the pictures at http://www.minifixer...uk/apps/photos/, and the forthcoming articles in Mini Mag and Mini World.

See www.minifixers.co.uk for more information as we get our heads around organising another one.

Yesterday, Sunday 16 December, we (The Mini Fixers) did the first trial run of the 2013 Cotswold Tour. Part of the route degenerated into a muddy track barely passable with a tractor let alone a Mini so it was back up the hill for a conflab with the OS map spread out on the top of a Mini. A new route was worked and proved to be superb. OK I know I'm biased, but this time we are on different roads of the Cotswolds and the views are stunning and the roads perfect for fun Mini driving. The Tour has an underlying theme this year and the mid point stop is totally in keeping.

Camping is available for as long before or after the event as you want at The Trout Inn, Lechlade on Thames, which is the finish point as well as The Mini Fixers HQ. We will also publish on the website a list of recommended local B&Bs.
It is essentially a one day event on the Sunday so many people turn up in the morning, the choice is yours, depends how faraway you live. Start time is from around 10:00am 'till noon, whatever suits you. The event is totally non-competitive and meant to be a casual drive around the beautiful Cotswold countryside along roads that were the norm when the Mini was a youngster. The mid-point is a special point of interest, with a cafe.
Booking is essential.

In addition to the beautifull Tour around th Cotswolds Mini Fixers are pleased to announce that The Cotswold Classic Mini Tour will be running in conjunction with The Riverfolk Festival at The Trout Inn Lechlade-on-Thames on the weekend of 27-8 July. There will be FREE musical entertainment on Saturday from noon 'till 11:00pm and Sunday from noon 'till 7:00pm. Last year the Riverfolk Festival (unfortunately not on our weekend) was full of amazingly high quality local talent. Not to be missed whenever it's on.

Hope to see you there

It is isn't it. We have been using this day for the previous two years and on our third year somebody else decides to try to pinch it. Our numbers don't seem to be affected though, and don't forget The Cotswold Classic Mini Tour is different every year. A lot of effort goes into giving Classic Mini owners a fun day and raising money for charities. It will be the same day next year (0ne booking already taken)
