Welcome to TMF
Buy the mini with the best body you can find and afford, engine problems etc are easier to fix than welding shells!
They all go in the same places, make sure you have a good look where the rear subframe mounts at the front, in the boot floor, and make sure the car doesn't have oversills on.
If you can post detailed pics of any car you look at on here you'll get some good advice

however i am thinking about getting a credit card to pay for a mini, then cancelling it and paying the money off,
(i know the words credit and card in the same sentence is not for a girl!)

my partners sister done exactly that, she purchased a car using a credit card she signed up for for this purpose only. it wasnt a huge ammount of money but she found it easy to slip up on a few payments as she had other bills coming out. she then chose to use the dreaded 'WONGA'

i think your better off if you can, ask a relitive for a loan then pay them off ?
as a rule for me though i like to pay things with my own money no middle man. if you want something badly enough you can earn the funds
best of luck with you mni when you get one

its just the more i think about it the longer its going to take! i already borrowed 2k off my nan (nearly paid off) for my current insurance! and i think asking for it agian would be a pee take!!! so i was thinking about saving 1,000 and taking out a loan for the rest of the cost! i dont want to be in debt thats the thing but im in love with minis!!!!
my dad is very agianst the idea but i have told him where to stick it! i told him i want one and thats that! (im not rude to my dad sounds like it =S)
also i will properbly be borrowing the money for my next years insurance! but i was wondering if any one had done it,
as its going to take me 2 years saving up! and as i NEEEDDDD a car so il be paying for my corsa aswell whilst saving!

Just to add, just lookede up interest rates for credit card OUCH! i think a loan would be 10 x better!

Change your boyfriend then

Where in Kent are you, I know a few boys that might be suitable

Not me though, i am 800 years old, so pretty incompatible.
