Everyone here is seemingly attacking the OP?

These things happen but obviously shouldnt. Get off your soap boxes

On a road out at night when you see a car coming the other way upto a corner you dont just stop.

I suspect the bend was a tight one being blind and the OP was slowing down for it anyway.

I doubt he was really all too close to the corner anyway. 40mph is about 18 m/s. He could have easily traveled 25-30 meters forward into that sideturning.

I wish I could draw how the road looks, ill try and explain. I slowed from 40ish to about 25 roughly 15 metre before the corner, at this point I noticed the car bareley on the right side of the road swinging round the the first part of the corner made if two little corners both of about 40-50 degrees. I quickly turned left to avoid the car by using a lane.

Conlad: cheers, I was starting to think I was in the wrong! haha

Hope it works, I was coming down greasbrough lane and took a little shortcut over a little bush onto the looked lane where I punctured the tyre. I live in greasbrough, the little vilage so drove back on the tyre. Mi wheel damage, the branch wedged in the wheel slowed the airflow.

And beforee anyone mentions the juction, 25 mph approaching 20 or so metre from an emoty junction is fine.

He/she had turned in from the whims far too fast and obviously couldn't stick to their side so I hedged it slightly up the lane.

Seen on the internet somewhere before someone got too confident with their mini handling on a country lane

Hit a bump mid corner and rolled
Car was totaled but the guy was OK.

Sound like my mate Todd, smashed his mini through a fence and had a fence pole within inches of his head
