Hi Mary Quant ).
Nope not Welsh but i know my name is welsh. Lived in Derbyshire all my life. Yes..pictures, added a couple to this reply i think..hope it worked.
Guessing yours is a Mary Quant one?
My dad is doing maintenance on mine tonight, back lights and speedo lights don't work so the light switch has a bad connection i think and also my heater is leaking green fluid on the floor ( oh dearie me.

Wel a Mini Designer, but it is a MaryQuant really, well i think so. Rover changed their name at the last minute

Spent £209 on my mini on Thurs having it re wired because the wires melted /!

How did that happen?

Some wires shorted out on the reverse light in the gear box, which caused somehing to happen and the wires in the wiring loom got really hot and melted a few others. So it all had to be put right!
Taking it back down the auto electricians tomorrow!

Nice looking mini you have there!

Bad luck with the wiring loom that can be really nasty if it goes very wrong! Fingers crossed it'll be sorted soon!

welcome to TMF, your car looks great. i had the same problem with my wiring - turned out all the connections in the fuse box were corroded - maybe worth a look?
