I ended up using a hand held grinder with a small disc to get a set of my old mini, I was replacing them with hi los so it did not matter much. I would have though a good whack with a sharp cold chisel would have broken them.

using a bolster chisel between the cone and the trumpet normally works. Or if you want to resort to braking the trumpet driving over a large pot hole works. As I unintentionally found out a few years ago when I had one shatter at the knuckle end.

Alright, ill let you know how i get on, does anyone know where i might be able too get some knuckle joints from in the manchester area. As i have a feeling theyll be shot on mine if the trumpets are so stuck on i doubt the knuckle joints will be very good
