Hi everyone im dan this is my first mini and only second car as only being 19, dont really know how to explain it in words so ill let the pictures do most of the talking :P bought it about a year ago from a mate that lives local who had it for a few years and this is what it looked like..

its in great condition for its age, spent most of its life as a hillclimb car and in storage
its a med 1380 with a stage 5 head, a 286 cam, straight cut box, with hardened diff pin, 1.5 minisport rockers and a weber 45 that was running about 116bhp before the box and with a 44,
was unsure what to do with the car at a start for the first few months as i wanted to make it different as everyone knew it round here as his car, so i thought id change a few things, decided it was gonna be a complete overhaul, even every gasket and seal has been replaced, and pretty much new everything, bits started arriving..

new seats, x pin diff, a weber 48, carbon goodies, a cross drilled billet 310 cam, 3 into 1 manifold, polycarb windows, and a few dsn classics shiny bits the list goes on and on lol, my bedroom turned into a storage place for a few months

so first things first was a color change so started stripping down
Posted Image
what the car used to look like inside after a few things had come out
Posted Image
with the cheap gazebo that lasted all of a week haha :P
Posted Image
some weight saving and something to keep me busy
Posted Image
Posted Image
and the car was sent off for paint so it was engine time, stripped it down to find these cam followers and what was a 286 cam lol

interiors gonna be fully carpeted, no dash but the bulkhead carpeted as i think it looks a million times better than a mini dashboard, no offence anyone haha :P and the top dash rail and pillars are gonna be black vinyled

Absolutely awesome mate I would love this, my favourite type of style for minis, retro racerish but still subtle! make sure you get that crazy speedo recalibrated for the car or it may well read wrong!! Keep up the good work

I love this build. Keep up the good work! I'm going for the racy look myself, so I'm looking forward to the rest of the process :)
