well having fitted my headunit and running it problem free for 2 months im now totally lost as to what the problem is.
Basically a few weeks ago i started having issues and my headunit cut out, it would power up display but would output a only a pop each time i pressed a button. these problems were intermittent at the start but then it stopped working all together. i took the headunit out with intentions of starting again. just gone to re fit the head unit wired it all up etc. i had been advised it may be a bad earth so have tried several new locations and the problem is still the same. really confused. i hear very distorted music playing when i increase the volume significantly and still the same pop when i press a button.

any help would be greatly appreciated. lovely as engine noise is it would be nice to have some music again

not got wet from a leaky screen?

could have done as i did have a leaky screen but thats been sorted now. could it have damaged the head unit badly ? thanks

Best to take it apart and check the circuit board. It will be obvious if there it water damage as you will see white deposits.
