im a big fan of unusual wheels on minis. at the last show i went to (stanford hall) i saw a guy selling some 6x10 JAP alloys which were really sexy.

there is a guy on here selling some momo alloys too which i think are great too.

i posted a topic on here a fw weeks back about compomotive cxr wheels, which i always thought would take off with minis but didnt seem to.

i spotted these earlier on compomotives site
http://www.comp.co.u...rt-wheels-13-13
i particularly like the TH in 7 and 8x13

go on someone buy a set and stand out from the crowd, i would like some of the 7s for my metro

is it ony me that thinks its nice to see something other than minilights for a change???? dont get me wrong i have only had minilights or reverse rims on my minis, so i am somewhat hypocritical in that respect but i like to see different!

Well, i like minilights, but as you said being different and I wan't to be different so I'm getting rid of the polished lip and having gloss anthracite all the way across.

on 5.5x12s. One day I may go to 10's.

I got offered a set of slotmags, and as I hadn't seen many minis with them, I decided to buy them. I've seen loads of cars with them since, so I've just brought a set of 100+s, which hopefully will be different from the norm

i always thought that the exacton 1100 special wheels were like little TH lines, or compo turbos.

with the dished area around the studs, and the little short square spokes. i think they look even more like them when they have been converted to splits like force racing do. http://www.force-rac...o.uk/wheels-10/

I'm a massive fan of unusual alloys on a mini, something different from the usual superlite or ultralites is a massive must for me. I like the look of these, havnt seen a set on a mini before http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2322130b34

oh god those picturesw of minis with massive wheels on really do look terrible!

i like those ebay ones though, would be better as 6" wide though, or even made into splits?

i called compomotive earlier about the TH rims, if you buy as a set 5.5x13 were £96ish and the 7x13 were about £115 if boughht as a set. individually they work out about 15-20 more.

i have had a measure up and there is just no way i can get the 7s on. gutted.

My wheel trims could be seen as unusual because nobody seems to keep them on. I too went to Minilites but soon changed back to the original wheels. My dad had some retro wheels once called Alcan's. They were a good looking odd wheel.

Minilites and their derivitives are boring imo, the rarer the wheel the better

The rarity of a wheel in my opinion doesn't make it cool. In my opinion of course. What makes something cool is when its done differently but done well.

My wheels are pretty unusual I think, I've only seen one other Mini with these on. They're a rare design of 10x6 Weller with a different centre to most, but the same outer rim design. I know they're steel wheels rather than alloys but they are different ;D
