My commute isnt too bad. Drive 2 miles and hit a duel caradgeway. straight onto another dueler all the way to work... few RB's and lights on the way. 11 miles usualy takes 15 mins
Wedged on an industrial estate just off the A45 in coventry. quite close proximity is the M42 and M40... if i hear on the radio theres a smash on these motorways the A45 just becomes a nightmare.

If my car were the break i have train station close to work...needless to say, id just call in sick if it happened!! public transport... pfft!

Couldnt imagin of anyway to improve it apart from removing all twunts off-of the road

drive 60 miles (30 miles each way) to work in 33 year old mini takes about an hour and a half. could be better if were no cyclists and no cars doing 30 in a 60! And also petrol could be a bit cheaper but thats never going to happen :-(

I used to commute into Manchester on the Metrolink tram system. From leaving my front door to getting to work took 1 hour, tram itself took 15 mins, walking was 20 minutes. So 25 mins were spent stood around waiting for a tram. This is because the trams are only 2 carriages and come every 10 minutes, but in 10 minutes the platform is full of people waiting and when a tram arrives its a mad crush to get on it because its already full from the previous station. Every 2-3 trams there is a double unit, so 4 carriages which just about clears the platform and lets everyone on.

The journey is rough - Red hot, crushed in, stuffy, smelly and when you get off your just glad you can breath. For this privilege it cost £5.50 a day and by the time you get to work your ready for a shower.

I then switched to driving which was much better. Still loads of traffic but could get to work in 30-45 minutes, and the luxury of being able to open a window or move my arm if I wanted to. Parking cost me £3 all day, but if it cost me £10 a day its worth it to avoid the tram its that bad.

The trams need improving massively, why all the rush hour trams aren't double units I don't know, because they'd still be full to capacity and you'd save 20 minutes of waiting. Also the trams are full of seats taking up all the room, so there is 20 seats filling a carriage which could carry 50 standing passengers easily. During the day seats are fine, but at rush hour nobody cares about seating - all you want is a bit more room to breath and move slightly to avoid getting cramps!

If they did this it'd be worth £5.50 a day easily. But as it is at the moment £5.50 is a joke.

I used to get a shuttle tram thing at one point I'm my journey to college

Was literally a 5min journey and it went backwards and forwards so came every 10-15mins

But we all had to get to college at the same time so the platform was full at 'peak time' and of you got on theres no chance of moving, everyone has a bag with all there books in
If you got a seat someones arse was im your face and if you were standing another person's face was about 15cm away from your own
I hated it wwith an absolute passion, didnt help when people didnt keep to an orderly line so it was just a massive crowd at the door!!!

i get the train,

and i always get the chubby people that take up two seats sit next to me :(

rude people that are always on the phone shouting, on the way home i get a few hoodies and drunks which is always nice...

it would be better if i could teleport or drive, im not a people person!
