I have whipped off the door mounting plate. Looks a bit crusty, but I will be replacing all 3 parts of the pillar.
Does anybody know how I weld this all back together without melting that wee peice of wiring loom that goes up the windscreen pillar to the back of the car?

I disconnected the loom from within the engine bay. I then attached some heavy duty cord to the end of the loom and pulled it through the pillar but the cord will allow the loom to be pulled back down again.
