thought so lol, im still waitin for my newest mini to be deliverd! thats only 1988 woohoo. my 78 didnt have that brace on the suby, but had a a+ engine fitted, took me a while to work that out!

Thanks for all the replies. It's all welded back together using 4mm steel plates on each side, so it should hold for a long time hopefully. If it breaks again, or I get another problem with the front subframe I think I'll replace it for a new one.

I'll take a photo of the weld within a couple of days so you can see whats been done. (also put some underseal over the metal)
