Just forward thinking...

we built up the front subby a couple of weeks ago, and im going to be putting it in soon.

Iv used new rubber cones and hi los, and they are wound all the way down and it looks like im going to have trouble getting the hub in, will I?

any advice?

i had the same problem previous when dismanteled my mini.

The problem is that the top arm has come down to far (on the little rubber bump stop) what you need to do is put a small block of wood in place of this bump stop so the top arm is high enough for hub to fit in.

What i had to do as i was not aware of this problem until it was to late and i really really dont recommend you do this. but i used my jack to raise the top arm to fit the hub in. i suppose what you could do even if it is a pain is to take the doughnut out put the small piece of wood in place then put the doughtnut etc back in.

so put a bit of wood in there then take it out when its all together?
would it work to just compress the cone?

yep if you compress the cone the top arm will move and it will all be aok
