As u can see (sorry its not in focus) have torn the brake hose from the back of my rear brakeplates. The hose is the metal rigid one that connects onto the flexible hose further up.

Is there anyway of stopping the leak - is a very small crack
What is the name of the hose as i can only seem to find flexible hoses on the net

you can get then from ebay and then bend it to the right shape.

Only way to fix the leak is to replace the pipe.

I bought the longer flexi hoses that replace that rigid bit and the rubber hose. So much easier and better

I take it the one pikey showed me was just to replace the metal pipe not the whole section like the ones miniboo was talkin bout.

No wouldnt dream of driving it, the idea of brake fluid spraying over my wheels and new brake shoes isnt a good one, nor is me not stopping when i put my foot on the brakes.

The lack of an M.O.T sorta spoils my fun too

Exactamundo. Whichever you fit is just a matter of taste. I can't see any real difference in performance benefits terms from fitting the long braided hose, but whatever floats your toast really......

Yeh think i will have a look at the state of my flexible hoses tomo and see if they need replacing at all, if so then ill get the longer hose, if not the £4 jobby it is for me!

What's going on with that handbrake lever?

Am replacing my rear backplates - is why handbrake level has been slackened off. last plate i had to replace and all i had to disconnect was the brake hose and it twisted round as i tried to undo it. Lesson learnt tho.

I will be replacing front metal brake hose - connecting the brake cylinders
and rear metal hoses at the rear (see photo on initial post for part)

are those parts on Minispares the ones i need? Not overly confident around the mini yet and dont want to buy the wrong parts

nope those are the hoses to replace the rubber ones at all four corners.

not sure about the front. i take it you have drums all round?

not sure on them so best to wait for someone who knows
