I've been dreamin' of an mot for starters. It runs ok and is completely standard. needs a little patching on the o/s footwell and a new brake master cylinder and i think that will be it for the mot. I couold do with meeting a local enthusiast who can give me some pointers tho.

I like the Mayfair, will look as the others later. Just consoling my self with the amount of work needed, no rush tho eh? The car ran well when I collected it. It had stood for five years under a car port when I got it. Had to drag it onto the trailer with the rears fully seized. The tyres were flat and the battery shot obviously. I scrubbed the points up with some emery and put a can of fuel in it, connected it to a battery via some jumpers and it purred. Phew.
I've had three previous minis, all used up and dumped as a youngster. One was a pick up! Shocking, but if we kept them all........this one is gonna be fixed up. I'm creeping toward an mot now and will run it for a while on the road then set to work in the spring. Looking forward to it, after years of working on motorbikes only I'm having to get re aquainted with the high tech world of the mini 1000
