I've bought myself a SIP Migmate 150 Turbo but it's puzzling me somewhat!

Obviously I want to keep the amperage at its lowest for work on the mini but i don't know how to configure the rocker switches for this. Is it the low or high side of the switch that defines the setting? Anyone know?

(of the three white switches first is HIGH-LOW, second says MAX at the bottom, third says MED-MIN)

Its also using loads of gas. How long should one last or how much can you do with one of the little bottles?

Cheers

Ahhh I hate those kind of welders lol!

I use one of them at school and it works like this:

The knob is wire feed speed. Red button is obviously power. The "High Low" one I think is high and low ampage. Then the other 2 define the ampage some more.

The gas bottles it uses are like the size of a 2 litre coke bottle. Theyre are different numbers on the valve and I found it welds best between setting 2-3 and it had about 8 settings I think. Also check your switching the gass off properlyby turning the electricity off and pressing the trigger near your ear. If its still on you'll hear it hiss.

The best way would to be just play on scrap and find out yourself!

right ok this welder for clean mini metal using co2 gas

wire speed know to around 9-10am
first rocker high (wire feed)

2nd rocker off (not to high)
3 rocker to med, the if well rust goto low and increase wire feed up

that should then weld a treat
