had serious issue with the clutch, either dragging or slipping, still not 100% happy with it, but just driven it to the MOT station and slipping a little, but that is first time it has been driven anywhere in over 11 years. So may have to strip it all down again. Lets see what happens with the MOT first, more anxious than an expecting father.

No it wasn't,
Emissions CO too high, 7.5 rather then 4.5 or less
Brake pedal, when pressed and held down slowly goes to floor, no leaks, so either master cylinders bore damaged (as new seals inside) also upper pipe connection damaged, so just ordered a very good 2nd hand unit

It doesn't sound like there's too much to do to get it through, just the usual restoration/new build niggles.

Fingers crossed for attempt two!

WOW!! The pick up looks awsome!!  And nice spec!
Sounds like a pretty good failure list. As far as MoT failures go...

My only question is, how comes you have the old style black and white number plates? I thought they were only legal on older cars?
I want some on my clubby estate. Mines 1977...

The sprite is going to be body kitted and 13 inch rims, might leave to automatic gearbox in there, mark 1 grill and rear lights.
I thought that about the plates but not been mentioned to me by tester.
