I think by the time you start adding up all the bits and pieces then it may be worth it.

If your car isn't a daily drive.... Surely it would be cheaper refurbing your own and there's nothing to say the parts are good quality ...I did mine at a fraction of that cost albeit I bought a cheap new subframe but there's nothing to say these are the same subframes?

Cheers James

+1 it's the little bits that add up. I guess it depends on what your existing one is like. It would also save a lot of hassle as it would be a quick swap.

true nothing to say about quailty but 120 for the subframe 20 quid for rad pins, 45quid for brakes 10 for brake pipes and 40quid for subframe bush kit, 40quids worth of powder coat and 25quids worth of sandblasting and your in £300 without the time taking it apart reaming out raduis arms sorting out brake adjustors and handbrake levers and assembling it.

I think its a pretty good price, but the thing that does it for me is the convenience of having it ready to just bolt on, however i would like the option to have the subby without the alloy trumpets and have hi-lo's in its place.

I wonder if they use genuine rear sub frames / cheap subbys or refurbed sub frames.

It says a new subframe but I doubt very much that it is a heritage one, the add seems pretty clear on what new bits there are so it would be relatively easy to price up the new bits and get an idea of cost.

ha ha just read the add again it does clearly say new sub frame. :shy: its been a long day sorry peeps.

Has the quality of the non BMH frames suddenly got better then? as i have heard of fitting issues with cheap rear sub frames for years I also had a few issues with one myself.

If good non original sub frames are available on the market who are the vendors for these as i will need a new rear sub frame for my resto.

I ordered one of these kits.
Got nothing for ages, then was told they had not even had them power coated. Was given all the excuses under the sun and then, after 4 weeks, he finally just sent the money back. This was after I had sent him my radius arms and trunions. Asked for them back many times but never heard a thing.
Total con artist, leave well alone
