I don't think it's your Mini, there are just some bad drivers around. I find the time of day makes a difference, and driving in London generally .

Maybe being smaller makes 'em think you're further away

I find that when driving in London you have to take a 'no mercy' approach like most of the other idiots on the road there.
And yes, you should slow down for speed bumps, your car is smaller than every modern day car, has a low ground clearance and has smaller wheels than the average car.
Telling someone not to slow down for them is plain stupid
