thats mine. Its a golf Mk2 grille cut down in length and rejoined. Quite simple really hardest part is rejoining it. I used some 2 part putty that i got from work and put some strips of sheet metal under the grille fins to strengthen it.

Thanks mate it looks a hell of a lot nicer and contoured than having spots attached to a rail i might consider this :P so is it just standard headlights and then the mk2 grill with lights aswell??

yep, got mine for £35 with the spot lamps off ebay. The spot lamps work really well. Also I hid the join by using the original clubman/gt BL grille centre badge.

I noticed you had used that lol i think i would probably mold them together with fiberglass (as the grills plastic isnt it?) and then sand it and repaint black

Yep the actual grille itself is the same height as the standard clubman grille and the light positions for the head lights are the same. You have to drill holes in the corners of the grille where the standard clubman grille screws by the head lights. As for sticking the grille back together I have now seen this adhesive called Q bond and it looks pretty good stuff. Its on ebay and amazon. I manged to pick up 3 grilles all with the hella spot lamps for about £20 each 2 years ago. Try and get the original spot lights with the grille as they are pretty good units and they are adustable for ease of levelling the beam pattern.
Hope this helps.

Also the top slat on the grille will need to have a slot cut out for the bonnet release handle.

Right no problem getting the VW Golf Quad lite grille, no problem cutting it down ....The problem I am having is finding someone who has a grille badge. I already have a Clubman badge CZH651 69-75 mini radiator grille centre BUT i want either the CZH3874 mini and Leyland one OR CZH4145 Leyland one.......have asked in thw wanted section to no avail......Has anyone got one ? doesnt matter about its condition as I can get it refurbished easily enough................
