My K&N looks a bit grubby and was wondering...

years ago they suggested to clean em with soapy water, is this still the case?
Or is there a better way?

get a proper cleaning kit. You can pick em up from Halfrauds these days!

The instructions on mine say..use the proper cleaning spray, rinse under cold tap water, dry thoroughly then reapply filter oil. I bought a K&N two part cleaning kit a couple of years ago for £8 from a show and redo it each year, Still loads left.
