Where can you legally fit a rear fog light I don't want to have the usual nasty rectangle light attached to the rear valence. So was wondering if people have fitted them elsewhere and what the law is.

This seems to be a good place to fit it. It doesn't cause rust, get broken off or just get broken.

Anywhere not more than 1 metre from the ground (back window shelf) and 40cm from the edge of the car, on the offside if there's only one.

Does it not need to be as far to the offside as possible so as not to confuse in really dense fog?

Probably a good place for visibility but looks very unsightly and i reckon would cause your bootlid to rust. Washing the car would also be trickier, so I am not a fan of this one!

Ive seen it mounted on the rear subby before, just infront of the rear valance.
Imo, if your using clusters with the reverse in, shove it in there. A clean, unsightly solution :)

No not technnically legal, some may mention the 110mm rule, but the majoirty of cars on here will have something 'technically' not legal if you knitpick enough :)

Most modern cars have the foglight built into the tail lights anyway..
