I've been reading through this whole thread, and I've got to say mate, a lot of hard work has gone into this, resulting in one of the most unique and stunning minis I've ever seen! Well done and Keep it up!

Cheers mate, really appreciate it  =] The best is yet to come.

So, not done much with all this varsity work that's been dumped on me, but I have prepped the boot board. Sanded it down and got all the edges straight and smooth. Not the best picture, but yeah :

Looking good, with some carpeting it'll look like it came out of the factory Jared

So, not done much with all this varsity wok that's been dumped on me

Hopefully that "wok" didn't cause any head injuries  :P

Long weekend of crappy weather hasn't helped progress much, but I did manage to complete the boot board. I sanded down, made the frame for the box to sit in, painted and carpeted. Here it is, with bungee cords :

And in the car :

Not bad I think.

I started a small side project today. My brother gave me a set of weather shields for the 7.5 inch discs, which started out like this :

Very battered and bruised, but after some hammering and knocking, they look like this :

They're going to soak a bit to get rid of some of the corrosion before being refurbished and fitted up to the car. Still waiting for a caliper rebuild kit and an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear subframe to come.

Patience  ;D

Those plates were left to soak in vinegar for a day and a half and came out like this :

Not bad I think. Will leave them over night in vinegar again and then start the process of cleaning up properly ready for some paint.

Made up some brackets for the dash housings to hold them in place. Managed to finish the passenger side, will do the driver's side tomorrow.

I managed to finish off the brackets for the dash boxes. The driver's side is now attached. It pulled the box in a little, which bothers me, but it just means I have to adjust the cutout for the check strap to move past :

I also finished cleaning up a few bits and pieces ready for some primer. I was going to do it today but I wasn't in the mood.

I never really got the extra bits either side of the car but saw a mini show and they were in the rally minis... is this where you are going with these? I never new they were a works thing... they do serve a purpose... lol...

Cheers mate  =] It sure is time consuming doing all the little things. I just finished giving bits and pieces another coat of primer, ready for a rub down and first coat of black. I have a little work to do on the dash to get it ready for some primer, but it's almost there. Everything I've added is to serve a purpose - well in my opinion anyway  This goes for the dash panels as well as the perspex items, it's all there to help in some way.
