whats peoples opinions on Falkens? I feel quite safe with them and only had sliding issues once id discovered half my tire tread missing! (car is now offroad until tracking is done)

Huey is on Falken 145 10s and they're ok for straight line stability but not really up to 80+ bhp put through low gearing. Also they squeal under braking which makes people think I'm going too fast :shifty: So I'll change to a higher diff and see what happens, and if the Falkens are still not up to it I'll go back to 165 Yokos. Even though from experience Yokos aren't so good in the wet.

I hate falkens with a passion, ive got them in 10" on my other mini, gripless in the wet and seemingly impossible to gear out, other people reckon theyre great though :/

the missus has nakangs on her cinq and they are suprisingly good, prefer them to the pirelli's that are supposed to be in there.

My old sei sporting had nangkangs (sp?) all round, Couldn't fault them, no strange wearing or road noise and I really ragged the hairys off that thing!

Edit: ( I did spin the wheels every so often but that was me being silly)

Falkens in 145 width are rather abysmal in the wet, a wet dog on lino is a good description

Falkens are terrible, i'd say almost dangerous in the wet. Really easy to lock the wheels and understeer massively.

We're getting a bit of topic now sorry. My 155 Falkens are rubbish too, tyre squeal at relatively modest speeds.

I once had Pirelli P700's on the Mini in the 12" size and they were truly awful, the worst tyres i've ever had.

It sounds like those Nankanks could be worth a try http://www.oponeo.co...175-50-r13-72-v
