I've had 12" falkens and no complaints for a cheapish tyre
but I have 10" A008s on now and they rock the only time I have had grip issues was in the snow I've drove through seriously heavy rain on hte A008s with no grip issues I need some more A008s now though
what tyres?

Your tyre depends on your requirement... first assuming you want 165's
If you want a town driver every day car, go for falkens, they last for ever !
A008's are the next up the line, great in the dry, if'ie in the wet, but on damp roads (early morning dew like damp) absolutely pants
The tyre to get is the A032R, it's like adding glue to your wheels, wet or dry... but they wear quickly and are not cheap, well not compared to other mini tyres.

I have a set of A032R's on my 10x5 GB alloys and they are the dogs. Got mine for around £190 delivered from Midland Wheel Supplies. Mini Spares charge around £60 a tyre plus delivery. I wouldn't use any other tyre now i've had these.
As for wearing I have used them for around 2 months of daily driving and I haven't noticed wearing at all (I hear they are best changed every 6 months).
Have a look here... Clicky
Says it all to be honest
