Well managed to get a vmax kit for £500
Engine was rebuilt a year ago with a Kent 266 got it for £150 with all new ancillaries inc electronic ignition

A good ported head and bigger valves and I bet you will see another 10bhp over a standard head. I run a Turbo Phil ported 295 with 33mm inlet and 27mm exhaust.

At the moment 75 is good enough
Planning on doing the head in the summer
Interesting that its 75bhp with only 5psi
How much could standard pistons cope with

I have been running 12psi with std pistons.. in fact the engine and box was built in 1969 ! :) the fact its holding together is more to do with the condition of the engine and setup; So fuelling and timing control...PS I don't use an M45, I used a Toyota SC12

So to increase the pressure do I need a bigger crank pully or a smaller sc one
5psi didn't seem like a lot

Most of what you read states the m45 sweet sport is 10psi. I would guess vmax or jonspeed will sell you a 10psi pulley.

the pulley i have is 11% smaller than the standard pulley and is making 5psi im going to fit a 15% pulley and see what that makes
