That is all

I love the clubby estate, but for me its just the rear side windows let the whole car down. They dont look that proper. And yes before you say it, I know they are factory standard. I just think the design is a bit of a 'that'll do'. They should be fitted like the rear door windows... In my opinion.

Thanks

Agread. I think this conversion is really cool. That's not my CE by the way, although I am looking to buy one

I'd be tempted to have a go at building one myself, but id get a practice scrap shell to try it on 1st, n if you can get it to work on that shell, its just a matter of copying the framework from the practice shell, onto the good shell, and using the pre-fabricted "doors" that were made in the practice run, as long as u got everything measured right, it'll all fit :)

Looks interesting mate, would love to see how you get on if you decide to do it! Good luck! ^^
PS: I also thought you'd misspelled shooting brake, never seen one of these before

It is definitely shooting brake! They (shooting brakes) were originally used to transport shooting parties round the grouse moors to where the shoot was actually being held. Not sure about "brake" but I believe it comes from an old carriage (horse drawn type) as do many car part / style names!

Rog46, this car is the one built in france by Auto BMC... they called it the Shorting break as a play on words, its even badged on the back in the photos as shorting break...

There was an article on this car in mini magazine a year or two ago, but cant remember which issue! Very nice car, love the conversion.

So when you go on holiday in it you have a short break in the shorting brake.....

Seriously, I think Rover should have build a batch of these. They would have sold very easily. It just looks right.
