I have found a manufacturer for an item that is in China. The item has lots of good reviews from all over the world but I am unsure of the ways to import it in to the UK. The manufacturer is wanting to know which option to go for like CIF (cost, insurance, freight). They want to know which port to send it to so they can work out a quote, or FOB (free on board). They send paperwork to you so collection can be made from port or airport. Any one done any thing like this before?

Is it a small single item?
I had a guitar made for me in China. It was just posted to me. It was classed as a gift with a value less than $50, so it cleared customs no problem and arrived to my door via EMS - DHL No trouble.
