i have a set of front and back seats and front door cards in ochre from a GT (one i posted earlier in this post) for sale if interested?

sorry mate but have to be the mk3 type seats as opposed to the GT ones.

if it looks like mine then yes its blacktulip. if it is then yipee!! another one out there. please dont do it another colour, blacktulip minis are very rare.

That is a beautiful MK3, exactly what I want to achieve!!

as for the interior i think its meant to be the very dark blue mk3 seats. when i bought my mini they were not present but i have found a full set since and will give them a refurb. newton commercial do the proper covers even down to the proper grain leatherette, they are expensive to do but its worth it to keep them to original spec. has your mini got the ashtrays in the rear bins? if so be carfull if you buy a door card set and make sure the rear cards are cut to fit round the ashtrays.

Actually it's currently Inca yellow, I restored it about 5 years ago, those photos are before I had it sprayed the first time. Currently repairing the floors. I've decided I'm putting it back to near standard, 1380 engine gone, coilovers gone etc. Original engine back in etc etc.
Yep it has the ashtrays in the rear pockets. When I restored it first time I put a full interior from newton comercial in it, had the cut outs for the ashtrays in the rear cards. Only problem I have is the entire interior is black!! Now I need red, haha.

Black Tulip would have come with a Geranium or Ochre interior



Geranium was a more darker red than shown on this colour chart. The Ochre is about right.

Thanks, you've confirmed what I thought it should have, when I bought the car 10 years ago it came with another 2 cars worth of spares, there were the door cards in Geranium which I thought were from the MK3 as the other stuff was late 70's brown and black stuff.

Newton Commercial do Tarten Red, I might have to settle for that But when the time gets closer, I'm going to approach them and see it they can do me a set in Geranium, or a close match, as I have the original door cards, if you're interested maybe we could see if they'd give a discount or something if we were both to order a set? just a thought hehe.
